The purpose of my artwork is to experience the journey of artmaking. This journey is more meaningful to me than the product and varies by time. The journey provides meaning and the product may be openly interpreted. I learned to trust my creative journey and to work intuitively using the skills Ilearned in my art education. Patterns and repetitions are formed in the language I use. This language of lines, shapes and colors forms the composition for each artwork. Abstraction became my language of art expression. As such, my creative reference point is the internal world. The patterns and repetitions created in mywork are enormously satisfying and regulating and make me feel centered within myself.
